The story of Cheddar is from the Region Cheshire. Its name is inspired by the Valley of Cheddar where it comes from. In the slag basin, the Cheddar tend to form twisted-cigarette-looking piles commonly called “Grain”. To create the briques, grains are heated, pressed and cut in blocks. The blocks are then pilled, so the whey can flow.
Can be enjoyed on a cheese platter but fits also in the making of hot dishes
